About the Scholarship
"Girls on Campus" was founded in August 2023 with the mission to support and empower students attending college. The organization focuses on helping young students particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, achieve their academic and personal goals through mentorship, resources, and community-building.
Making this a reality
Since our founding, we have remained committed to supporting women and those who are allies in advancing gender equity, education, and opportunity. What began in a college dorm room as a small idea has grown into a much larger community dedicated to helping students access the resources, guidance, and opportunities they need to succeed.
Through the continued support of our community, partners, and donors, we are proud to make this scholarship possible and continue expanding our impact.
This scholarship aims to support an incoming or current undergraduate woman who demonstrates academic merit and financial need. Beyond academic achievement, we seek to recognize a student who is passionate about making a positive impact in her community and committed to personal growth, leadership, and continuous improvement.
How to apply- Open
Essay Prompt:
In a minimum of 250 words and a Max of 500 words, discuss the significant challenges faced by women of color pursuing higher education and outline your plans to address and overcome these challenges ( this will show any leadership qualities/merit)
Eligibility:

Open to high school seniors or current undergraduates or graduates students who self-identify as women, are gender nonconforming, or are allies. Must be enrolled in Fall 2027 in a U.S accredited school and be in the US.

Applicants must identify as women of color, be gender nonconforming, be allies, or have a background in Hispanic/Latino, African American, Asian, Middle Eastern, or Native American communities.

Candidates must intend to enroll in an undergraduate program in the U.S. or in the semester following high school graduation in fall 2027.

Open to students enrolled in a U.S. college or university, regardless of citizenship or immigration status. Eligible applicants may include U.S. citizens, permanent residents, international students, DACA recipients, and undocumented students.
